What is the Acadia Federal Credit Union Marathon?

The AFCU Marathon is a 40 km freestyle ski race held in March of each year that challenges skiers of all ability levels  (2018 is a FREESTYLE EVENT ).  A 20km option will also be available to skiers.  The race has some spectacular views of the St John Valley and those of you looking for a challenging course will not be disappointed.  


What trail does the marathon loop occur on?

The marathon trail incorporates (4) loops in the Four Seasons Trail - the Acadia FCU loop 1.0km, 9.0 km of the Power Line Loop.  The total loop length is 10.3km which will be completed 4 times.


Who should ski the marathon loop?

Whether you are an elite athlete looking to compete against the best skiers in the region or a recreational skier looking to challenge yourself against a rigorous 10km loop we invite you to join us at the Four Seasons Trail for the last big event of the season, CANCELED FOR 2019, we'll be back next year!! on March 24, 2018.  As mentioned earlier, grooming will accommodate skate skiing and a SOMEWHAT BEST LINE classic track will be set for this FREESTYLE event.   Registration will occur the morning of the race.  See the 2018 poster for details.
